View Notes* with Hannah Schroeder Jackson on cello and Lauren Hastings Genova on violin (both play in the Portland-based Amarantos Quartet) The first show of Guster's "On the Ocean 2019" weekend, played in the sanctuary of a Unitarian Universalist church in the heart of Portland. The third-hottest show of Brian's life, he said. Old friend Joe Pisapia joined the band for the weekend and was going to open the festivities, but his plane arrived late, so he played a few tunes between sets (tracks 15-16) instead. All five played the live rarity "Every Moment" to kick off the second set. He went on to rejoin for several songs in the second set - hopping on the sidestage piano when the mood struck. They finished with a five-man Jesus on the Radio played up in the rear balcony; Ryan played the pipe organ pedals with his hands.
