The band booked the back room of a Somerville bar under an assumed name they had used to play secret shows in their early days. The band members rotated among various instruments during the show - at one point, Adam was playing drums and Brian was playing guitar. Tony and Samantha's history with Guster goes almost back to the beginning - Tony co-founded the band Papas Fritas at Tufts with drummer Shivika Asthana, and much later co-wrote "Amsterdam" with the band. His wife, Samantha, was Shivika's college roommate, and the two now play in Jenny Dee & the Deelinquents together.
