View NotesPatch Source: Anthem Of The Sun (Rhino Reissue R2 74393) Commercial CD>EAC(secure mode, offset corrected)>WAV Comments: The goal was to patch the Gator Jam splice from the Anthem CD and try and fix the numerous pitch issues, including varying pitch within songs. In general, Jerry and Bobby were in and out of tune throughout the show. Cool Edit Pro v2.0 was used for all edits. All files encoded WAV>FLAC via Flac Frontend v1.7.1 (level 8, align sector boundaries). All discs retracked with CD Wav v1.93 beta. Thanks to Seth for the original shn set. Thanks to SP for pitch help and general instigational services. Thanks to Joe "Pitch Bitch" Jones. D.Winters - 12/19/07. Notes: Discs 1 & 2 - all tracks +0.5% pitch increase plus the first 11 seconds of Born Cross-Eyed +3.0% pitch increase. - Left & right channels were swapped on all tracks to put Jerry on the left. This matches the mix on the Anthem patch. - The very beginning of Morning Dew, Schoolgirl, and Dark Star are missing. Disc 3 - Tuning up to the Gator Jam patch an average of +1.5% pitch increase, as pitch varied significantly. - Gator Jam patched with 100ms crossfade from 5:43 to 6:53. - Post patch Gator Jam through Feedback +4.0% pitch increase. - Midnight Hour 0 to 5:32 +3.0% pitch increase. - Midnight Hour 5:32 to end (FM patch) -1.0% pitch decrease. - Levels were adjusted in a number of places.

View NotesSome portions (Tuning Break->Midnight Hour) may be from another source, probably the FM broadcast of the show -G (*) The Encore has been placed on Disc 1 in order to retain the continuity of the First and Second Sets. However, if you have the capability of burning 80 min CDs, you can place the Encore as track 11 on the Disc 2 (with about 20 seconds to spare). Thanks to Jim Douglas for the excellent copy of this show! Arrangement of tracks into this format via Garrett Van Cleef 9/27/2000 -- (version C2) The tracks from "Tuning Break" thru "Midnight Hour" appear to be from a different source than the rest of the show (which is pretty clean). These tracks have a significant increase in the amount of tape hiss present. I found it to interfere with my enjoyment of the music. I created Hiss Reduced versions of these tracks for this supplement. I also crossfaded the real change (?) at ~11:40 in Alligator so that it doesn't blow your tweeters out! If you wish to create a CD using these HR tracks, simply use them instead of the ones in the main distribution. The main distribution files were the source for these supplment tracks. I used Sound Forge Noise Reduction to do the hiss reduction and other "voodoo". The tracks which were modified are included in the directory with this file. Here are the tracks that this supplement replaces: Disc 1 7. Midnight Hour Disc 2 7. Tuning Break 8. Alligator > Drums > Alligator (reprise) > 9. Caution (Do Not Stop On Tracks) 10. Alligator Underwater Feedback Enjoy! Garrett Van Cleef [email protected] [email protected] 9/29/2000
