View Notes* Originally Recorded By Etta James (feat. Devon Gilfillian). ^ Grace Solo. Only 2 weeks into her brand new tour supporting her new LP, "Daylight", we were very lucky to get 7 (of 11) songs from the release. She also brought out some classic Nocturnals and honored my request for "Timekeeper" (which I made on Facebook). Well, that - or it was a coincidence! Regardless, this was a very strong performance from one of the best live vocalists I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. "Apologies" and "Release" were goosebump moments for me. The Taft Theatre does not allow stands on the floor, so I ran the mics in my hat and stood completely still for 2 hours. I stood for most of the show, but there were periods early on where I was forced to sit as everyone else in my section was. The sound is relatively the same. One last thing, Grace changed the setlist quite a bit on the fly, so if you are curious how the show was originally planned, take a look at the attached picture in the fileset. Thanks for allowing taping, Grace!! Turn this one up. For more information on Grace Potter, please visit: GracePotter.com.
