The remasters are sourced from existing tapes, mostly from the Live Music Archive at www.archive.org. Since I'm not the original taper of these shows, all credits should go to the original tapers for making the recordings available in the first place. These remasters are an attempt to get the best out of the original recordings. The remasters will cover the entire career of what I think is one of today's finest live acts. As long as there's enough interest there will be a new release every few months. Suggestions for shows to be released in the series are always welcome, but keep in mind I can't release everything. NOTES Date: February 18th, 2006 Venue: Paradise Rock Club, Boston MA Source: Audience Sound Quality (1-10): 8 The source for this remaster is Dave Mallick's master recording as it appears on the Live Music Archive at www.archive.org. The bass has been turned down significantly by some re-EQing in HarBal 2.3, but apart from that very little repair work was done. The audience is a bit noisy at times, but overall this is a great audience recording of a very long, excellent set that covers most of the live favourites from the band's early days. It also features some rarely performed songs that would soon be dropped from the setlist. Enjoy!
