View NotesGY!BE show #6, and it's back to where it all started for me...the Fox Theatre in Pomona (where I first saw them back in 2011).  Have to say I walked away from this show absolutely blown away due to a couple things...one being the live versions of Mladic and Behemoth were better tonight than they were two nights ago at the Fonda, and they played Gathering Storm and BBF3!!!  Totally didn't expect that last one.

In fact them playing BBF3 made up for them not playing Moya (which I never seem to get to end up hearing - out of 6 shows, I've heard it ONE time, and that was at the very first show I went to).  Anyway, the crowd was a little rowdy at the beginning...a couple annoying people near the front yelling "WAHOO" every 5 seconds it felt (get thee to a Frat party, not a GYBE show), but it calmed down eventually.  The sound during BBF3 got a little messed up I think.  David Bryant's guitar wasn't working/loud enough or something (you could see members of the band getting fustrated at this) and then in the middle section of BBF3 (where the old man starts ranting about his gun collection and the end of the world), the drummer pulled out the mini-gong to hit/play, but apparently didn't have a microphone next to it, so instead he was just holding it and hitting it, yet none of us could actually hear the effect, which just seemed odd and threw the rythym off a little I thought.  But why am I nitpicking?  It's fucking GY!BE...turn it up and get blown away.  I have no idea when the next time I'll get to see these guys is, but I hope its sooner or later.

And to the guy on Reddit who just unearthed the "All Lights Fucked on the Hairy Amp Drooling" cassette tonight, please rip and upload it.  All us real GY!BE fans would forever be in your debt :)
