I dare to say that this is as good as it's going to get for an audio document from GYBE's reunion performances at ATP 2010. My source was basically a stack tape (first time I did such thing, as I was unhappy with the previous nights recordings), and while it resembles a SBD recording, it turned out to be too sterile and slightly saturated on bass. Stephen's recording is more of an ambient recording, capturing a nicer stereo image and concert ambience. After a few days invested in this project, I can say this is one of my finest releases, even if the source material was anything but perfect. GY!BE is a huge band with a huge sound, so mixing them in that tiny venue and stage couldn't have been an easy task for the soundman. A video recording featuring this audio will surface within a couple of weeks. Thanks to stephen for agreeing to this project, this wouldn't have been possible without him. #Please pass the info file along as you distribute the show# -j.mart 2011/12/31

View Notes---------------------------------------------------------------------- I've gone to a lot of trouble to bring you this in high quality flac; if you insist on re-distributing this as mp3, at least put a link to the flacs... please? Please do not sell this recording. Please do pass along the source info (this file) if you trade this show. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This year's Nightmare Before Christmas was curated by Godspeed You! Black Emperor. The band played all 3 days. Unfortunately I was unable to record the first day. This is the third day. Was about 20 or 30 people in front of me in the line. Huge kudos to Dan, Mat and Tom for putting up with me and helping make this recording a reality. Thanks guys - you rock! GYBE were originally scheduled to play mid afternoon, but were brought forward to be the first act on today. All of which meant very little sleep...
