LDB Special Series #118 Out of my 7,000+ shows and radio broadcasts, I have many concerts that were special for some reasons: the setlist, the musicians, the venue or unexpected events. These are the ones I'd like to propose you. Most of these come from my cassettes collection, so they will be released at a slower pace than my Master Series! But you won't be disappointed! I will try to gather the most unusual things I have in my collection and, as always, your feedback and comments will be my reward for all the work involved in this project. DO NOT share this music on mp3, just convert it for your own use. Sharing mp3's is the right way to make me stop sharing music here. GODSPEED YOU BLACK EMPEROR London, Maida Vale Studio 3 - John Peel Sessions Recorded November 22, 1998 Broadcast January 19, 1999 Aidan Girt (Percussion, Tympani) Mauro Pezzente (Bass) Roger Tellier (Guitar) Sophie Trudeau (Violin) Efrim Menuck (Guitar) Dave Bryant (Guitar) Norsala Johnson (Cello) Thierry Amar (Bass, Piano) Bruce Cawdron (Drums, Tympani, Glockenspiel) While seeding the Happy the man show I noted that at the end of the cd I had this filler from an early GYBE! session. As always, good old John Peel had selected a band that would become a cult band later on. This is the complete session that was recorded at Maida Vale and it sounds fantastic as usual. A pity this band hasn't toured since a few years. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Uploader's note: this legendary BBC session is already shared on LMA at: - https://archive.org/details/gybe1999-01-19.flac This is a different source, so I imagined it would be good to share it here as well, and now under the recording date of 22 November 1998. Apart from a possible difference in sound quality (I did not do a cross comparison), this source here also includes the intro by John Peel. - https://archive.org/details/GYBE1999-01-19 yet another version was shared shortly after I uploaded this version. I would call that version the definite version, it has both the Peel intro and outro and has best sound quality ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
