Audience - split mics
Lineage:
Neumann TLM-170s (hypercards, 40' split on 2 mic stands flanking front edges of the soundboard area) -> Sound Devices 722 (@24/96); FLAC File processing in SoundForge Pro 10.0d (L/R channel time sync; volume normalization; resample to 44.1 with iZotope 64-Bit SRC set higher than "Highest Quality" setting w/anti-alias filter; 24->16 bit dither using iZotope MBIT+ Dither with Ultra noise shaping, High dither settings; Tracked in CDWav.
Taper Notes:
View Notes* = w/Lo on acoustic guitar + = just the original 5 members, w/o Jason, Lizzie, and John # = starts out with the original 5, and Jason, Lizzie and John come in to fill out the rest of the song. Note: I EQ'd in a very slight bass boost to S1T2 (up to 2:51.81) to compensate for the fact that the venue's subwoofer was not enabled until exactly 2:51.81 into the song. I scrubbed a few nearby local loud claps from S1T12(1 clap), S2T6(autoscrubbed some claps @ 1:08, 1:26, 1:43 in the right channel only), S2T7(autoscrub some claps just after song), S2T9(9 claps), S2T10(7), S2T20(5) Lineup: Lo Faber - guitar, vocals Aaron Maxwell Lieberman - guitar, vocals John "Bevo" Liebowitz - keys, organ Dan Pfier - bass, harmony vocals Tom "Tomo" Osander - drums, harmony vocals Jason Crosby - keys, organ, violin/fiddle John Wood - percussion Lizzie "Loves" Friel - background vocals Special thanks to Mike Salvo for lending me his mic stand so I could run my split mic setup! Without a 2nd mic stand I wouldn't have been able to run any sort of split (I can only lug so much stuff with me on the subways in NYC).
