View NotesShow Notes: Another GJ Tribute Show!! Tonight God Johnson covered the Rolling Stones' album Sticky Fingers and damn did they throw down. We don't get our regular Wednesdays any more and so this was a much needed dose of the Rawk. I don't think it sold out but the room was very solid and the crew brought a bit extra to spice up the night (Painted mannequins, confetti and baloons covering the crowd, fantastik music) Tonight's lineup of musicians (starting with our core GJ): Jason Fladager Tim Carrow Scott Rohrick Royce Rock Jimmy Rogers +Kevin Sinclair (Sax) +Nick Brewer (Percussion) +Steve Davern (Vocals / Mick Jagger) +Aaron Peterson (Guitar) +Pedal Mike (Pedal Steel Guitar) +Jason Marks (Trumpet) +Steve Wallevand (Trombone) +Scott Allen (FOH Sound Engineer) Trocadero's is a great room. It has its personality like any room but its a great open space with a well hung PA so I'm always happy with the recordings I get out of there. This night was no exception. it took a song or two to really get the sound locked in at the beginning of the first set but that's pretty normal. The band similarily took a couple songs to get into their groove (a disjointed start and a rough transition) so hey.. there ya go :) BTW: Disc 1 runs a total of 82:32. Most burners will do a decent job of overburning to that BUT if it's not working out for you then my suggestion is to throw the Electric Shoes from Set 1 on the beginning of Set 3. Set 3 turned out to be really more of an encore. 2 songs. 22 minutes. That disc could really use a long Electric Shoes jam to fill out the disc. Else these days who's using CDs anymore anyway.. :) Enjoy! -Nate
