This is a matrix recording. Soundboard recorded by Nikki Stephens. Audience recorded, and transfer and matrixing by Peter Toluzzi. Source 1: APB M1016 Monitor Console > Sound Devices 722 > Hard Drive Transfer > DVD (as flac files) Lineage: DVD > Hard Drive Source 2: Neumann KM140 > UA5 > Sony M1 Lineage: Sony M1 > Hard Drive > Soundforge and Adobe Audition for matrixing > CDWave > TLH THe sounboard recording is strongest in this matrix, but my audience recording was added mainly to punch up the low bass; along the way, it evens out some unbalanced levels in the soundboard, but introduces unavoidable noise pollution, since my mics were located in what became a sonically poor location: noisy, chatty, boomy... Still, these two waveforms come together quite well, and give a good idea of how it sounded in the room. Compare this to sound engineer Bo Putnam's remix of the soundboards, which you can hear here: http://www.archive.org/details/SAAF2009-03-26.Stu_Allen_and_Friends_Live_at_Boom_Boom_Room_on_2009-03-26 I believe there is work on a matrix of the first set too. Thanks to the LMA for hosting these different recordings!
