Taper Notes:
View NotesThis is only the third time I've seen Eric McFadden live. He really seemed to be enjoying this show. He came over to the stage lip and played inches away from the folks in front on many occasions. He shook hands and spoke with various people smiling all the while. This was not a two set show. The band came on at around 10:30pm and played straight into the 1am hour. Towards the latter part of the performance, Eric ran over to Queen Delphine with one of his guitars and strapped it on her so she could play along. I would have never thought that a fiddle would work well in a Black Sabbath song, but Xander Hitzig from Brown Chicken Brown Cow did a great job on Electric Funeral tucked into Devil Moon. It was also interesting to hear Eric say that the Dead's "Black Muddy River" was on his mindand if he remembered the words, he would play it. He did try a bit of it though. Once again, local guys Hutch Hutchinson from Bonnie Raitt's band (and many others) joined Mark Johnstone (Mick Fleetwood Blues Band & others) to play along with Eric here on Maui. Enjoy and...
