View Noteseric mcFadden trio molly malone's (575 south fairfax avenue, los angeles, ca) september 20, 2006 +++ 16 bit / 44.1 kHz +++ field: AKG c422 (blumlein) > oade acm hd-p2 @ 24/48* transfer: CF > USB 2.0 (via card reader) > dsp** > FLAC the band: eric mcFadden (guitar, voice) james whiton (double bass) jeff cohen (drums) more information: http://www.emtmusic.com/ notes: * the mic was mounted on a desktop stand via the akg H-15/9 shockmount, positioned on the stage lip, dfc; unfortunately this positioned the mic between two stage wedges (monitors) - as a result, the vocal level is not optimal... the mic was connected to the s42 controller box (which sets the capsule patterns) via the akg 12 pin cable (15m); the s42 was connected to the acmP2 via 2 zaolla .5m XLR interconnects; the p2 was powered by 8x AA energizer rechargeables (2500 mAh) and it provided phantom power to the mic. ** digital signal processing consisted of tracking, normalizing, 48 > 44.1 resampling (ultra high 2) and 24 > 16 dithering (pow-r3); all processing was performed using samplitude v8.1. verified with shntool; encoded via xact for windows. ++ recorded, transfered and uploaded to the LlaMA by macdaddy (december 17, 2006)
