Compressed 3:1 above -3dB, amplified ~3dB. A little more listenable this way, IMO. Feel free to contact me if you want the unedited master ([email protected]). VENUE Mr. Small's is a neat place, an old church converted to a recording studio and performance space owned and run, I believe, by someone affiliated with Rusted Root. Pretty good sounding venue, but as usual with acoustic acts the PA just wasn't very loud. A bit before showtime, our group of FOB tapers - after getting clearance from the venue to run up front - got booted back by tour management to the rear corner of the venue just in front of the bar area where they were serving *free beer*. Let's just say free beer does not translate to a quiet, respectful crowd intent on listening to the music. (I'll never understand people who pay $25 to go to a venue, drink beer, and blather on endlessly with their friends all night instead of listening to the music.) I taped the LoS acoustic (1st) set from the section in back. Ugh, no more of that, thanks. I packed up my gear and went well front & center for the Del (2nd) and LoS/Del (3rd) sets. A group of people set up chairs about 4 deep from the stage and sat down the whole show. I set up my stand at about 5' immediately behind this seated group - much nicer spot!
