View NotesSPAC was as beautiful as always in all it's Summer Time Glory! Great energy from the band and the crowd! It was nice to meet all my supportive and friendly neighbors in section 9. The Taper Section really didn't exist. People were taping from their seats, so that's what I did. There were some belligerent extremely intoxicated guys in front of me with laminates who were overly loud and seeking everyones attention. They were very distracting to all who were within a 50 foot radius, however, for the most, part my mics avoid hearing them. Any chatter you hear on this recording is those idiots. That said, the tapes came out fantastic and I hope you enjoy the recording! See you in Hartford, CT! MVB

Once the show started they screamed & clapped off-beat throughout set1. Every time I would turn and smile and hold up my prayer hands and look at my mics she would scream at them. Ok now I just ignore the rest of the set. I chat them up very cordially again during set break and we're still "friends". I "suspect" they were pretty inebriated by then. By a few tunes into set2 I'm getting downright blatant disrespect from them directed right at my mics. Here I will admit I made a mistake that compounded the situation but did not justify the response at least in my opinion. I basically snap & tell them that if you're going to clap at least clap on the F'ing beat! About 5 minutes later douchebag husband leans over to talk to me and then slyly tries to slip a choke hold on me! That didn't last long, no punches were thrown but very harsh words were exchanged. My 2nd mistake was not going to security to have him tossed but I did not trust staff would do the right thing after an earlier unrelated incident. Show goes on, things eventually cool down and we even had a pretty calm adult conversation later. Or so I thought! The reason for the 2nd set patches is that I'm almost positive that bastard later pulled my battery cord on my Tekkeon that fueled the V2 & MME not once but twice. The first time I wasn't so sure. Right after it happened the 2nd time they had disappeared. Hmmm. I have been taping for almost 30 years and this experience was like no other! Not saying I'm perfect & wasn't part of the problem but please beware of us old school tapers who may have lost the tolerance for being disrespected!
