PERFORMANCE NOTES: David was joined by John Skehan of RailRoad Earth on Mandolin for the entire performance Andy Goessling of RailRoad Earth joined David and John for Set 2 [Disks 2 & 3] on 5-String Banjo, Resophonic Guitar, and Soprano Saxophone. The "vibe" was very loose and that of an impromptu house party. The feeling of improvisation filled the room and flowed out into the beautiful, wooded backyard. It was amazing to hear talented musicians spinning music from the thick summer evening air. RECORDING NOTES: Studio Projects LSD2 X-Y Cardioid @ 90^ ~15 feet from PA at room's edge, about 9' high >> Oade Bros. T-Mod Fostex FR-2 @ 24/88.2 Resampled to 16/44.1 in Adobe Audition 1.5 (1-bit noise-shaped dither), Tracked using CD Wave, FLACed with FLAC FrontEnd It was a very exciting experience to tape David, a long-time hero of mine within the taping community. Also, many thanks to our host for the hospitality and the great time ! D3T07 and D3T08 comprise Lazy River Road, which was interupted by a power problem, regretably several minutes are missing. Between tracks Set1T03 and Set1T04 was a "false start" of China Doll(?) which was deleted for musical continuity. Air Handler Noise D2T01 until 3:56 Occasional door closes throughout TRADING NOTES: This recording was made with the permission of all performers. It remains their property. It may not be used for any commercial or other profit-making purpose without their permission. Please visit their websites and listen to their commercial recordings ! Get out and see them play live.
