View Notesmatt23 Notes: --my first chance to get to see Daniel after getting into his music the past year or two. --In a real small place for first time in Tucson also --his music/vibe fits Tucson like a well worn cowboy hat! --191 Toole is the little sister of the Rialto Theatre and pretty intimate. Was about 2/3's full. --The first set just rocks it end to end! "Translation" was my favorite song of the night. Both Daniel and Nathan are great singers too! "Big Iron" was a pleasant surprise - haven't heard that tune since way back in the Kingfish days of 70'/80's and a tasty pairing with "Riders"! Classic psychedelic rollicking honky tonk. --Second set was longer with more jamming and my favorite was "Prairie Spin" and the last 3 tunes all are great too! --Very impressive show/jamming! --Crowd was a mix of old hippies, younger jam band heads, Tucson alt country folks, and the various odd mix of characters Tucson is populated with. --I did not have my external mics available so I used the internals but still used the mic stand and got way FOB on the right side (minors side of the floor which was less populated) about 15' or so from stage 6.5 ft in air. --The sound is stellar/phat FOB - very impressive for the internals! Wow! --all I can say is go see this band - guaranteed good time! They deserve it! --another Sonoran Desert Recording recorded, mastered and seeded by Matt23. --For personal use only - no selling.
