Taper Notes:
View Notes"Engineered For Headphone Use" - This recording is predominantly binaural (due to the KU-100 mannequin microphone) with some ORTF stereo mixed in. Because of this, headphones are strongly recommended as this will place the sound at the listener's ears as it was incident upon the manenquin microphone's ears during recording. Headphones will also eliminate any cross-talk that may otherwise occur when played back over loudspeakers. Best results are likely to be obtained with headphones that approximate FEC (Free-air equivalent coupling) behavior as defined by Moller, Rozenn Nicol, et al. Edits: Disc 01, track 01; fade in. All others on Disc 01 are 'hard' edits with no fade. Likewise, Disc 02, track 01 (track 15 of 32 in the list) is a hard edit; the only track that fades out is Disc 02, track 19 (track 32 of 32 in the list). Edits have been performed so as to leave the tracks as intact as possible. In general, any given track starts after introductory banter but includes audience applause at the end of each track. Moonlight Mile: There is an abrupt change in gain in this track at 3:30. This is not an issue in the recording, but represents something that was done by the FOH Engineer during the performance. The jump in gain is as noticeable as it is owing to the close proximity of the microphones to the FOH loudspeakers.
