View NotesNotes: There is a drop out a couple of minutes into this recording. Since only a couple minutes of the first song is included, I probably would have just left this off of the recording, but I just couldn't delete it for sentimental reasons. See, the reason for the drop-out is because I had a FIRE in my gear bag!!! That's right, a full-fledged flaming fire! Turned out that I had moved my preamp around and it caused my power cable to short-out at the back of the preamp. Fortunately, since I was messing around in the bag, we immediately saw the smoke start billowing out of the top of the bag. (Bean just kept saying Holy Shit Maaan! LOL!) As I frantically unplugged cables as fast as I could (burned my fingers a bit), a flame appeared at the edge of my gear bag (more 'holy shit, man's from Bean). In the end, for all the anxiety and fear it caused that I had probably burned up my thousands of dollars in recording gear, the only thing damaged was the fried cable and the edge of my gear bag where the cable draped over (the cable is what was smoking and the edge of the bag is what was on fire). So, as Bean mentioned the day after and we were laughing this off, enjoy this Cornmeal set because even though I missed a portion at the start, this show was literally SMOKIN'! (Note: It's not lost on me the coincidence that Cornmeal played a 23 minute long super extended version of Black Smoke Rising! LOL!)
