Killdozer was the opening band for the Butthole Surfers performing at The Vic Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. The Butthole Surfers are famous for their bizarre stage shows - and this night was no exception. Amidst the smoke and swirling lights were insane backdrop films of sex change operations and tapeworm extractions while Gibby ranted and raved. Add all this in with a lively crowd and some extremely strong chemicals - and we were in for a pretty wild ride. This tape has been in storage for the last 17 years and has finally come to see the light of day. Aside from a few copies I made for my friends who were with me at the show - this is the first time the recording has been in circulation. This recording was produced from the orginal master cassette tape. Overall the quality is very good and really does capture the raw intensity of the show. On track 6 "You Don't Know Me" there is a slight tape fluctuation at 1:10 - probably due to the age of the tape. Side A of the cassette ended with "Gary Floyd" before switching to Side B. The very end of "Gary Floyd" was cut off due to the tape switch - so, I added a fade-down and then faded-up with "Booze, Tobacco, Dope, Pussy, Cars." Track 10 is actually the conclusion of Psychedelic Jam. GJK is another name for Dancing Fool. Somehow I messed up and put both titles in there to begin with. Feel free to adjust your track listing as you see fit. Gibby's "machine" breaks during Alcohol and it is hilarious to listen to his reaction. I always hoped a soundboard or professional recording of this show would surface - but this may be it. Turn it up as loud as you can and enjoy!
