(24bit/48kHz version): DPA 4061 mics > DPA MMA6000 preamp > Edirol R-09 (on stage, dead center, mics on 6 ft stand)
Lineage:
Edirol R-09 > USB > wav @ 24bit/48kHz > Hard Drive > Wavelab 5.0 (fades & normalizing) > CD Wave 1.95 (tracking) > Flac Frontend 1.7.1 (Level 8 Flac Compression) > Flac
Taper Notes:
View Notes- My first time seeing Bockman. I'm very impressed. They put on a heck of a show. I particularly loved their more progressive songs like RAD, Slipping Spider and Gorjus. I hope they don't lose that progressive element in their future albums. - Nice full stereo recording. I love the sound you can get from an on stage setup. - Toward the end of Gorjus, a couple of frat assholes pushed their way up to the stage. One of them grabbed my stand and mics and proceeded to pretend to be a rock star singer. A scuffle then ensued as I wrestled the stand/mics back from him, and put the mics back in place. They then spent the rest of the night trying to start a fight with me. Luckily none of this is really noticeable on the recording, except for a girl next to me yelling at the frat guy to get his hands off the stand. Ugh. Never had that happen before.
