NOS Config Source 1: CA-1's (omni) > CA-UGLY Pre > iRiver H120 RockBox 3.5.1, CF mod (RiData 16GB, 233x) & 2200mAh mod Source 2: Busman BSC1-K3's (hyper's) > CA-9100 > R09HR (originally at 24/96) Editing: Plenty of EQ work in this recording. Source 2 was converted to 16/44.1 in r8brain ver. 1.9. Buckets of low-end removed from both sources in Sony Soundforge 8.0, then the two sources sync'ed in Sony Vegas Pro 8.0, wherein more EQ work was done to each source, and Source 2 was dropped ~2.5dB. The synced sources were rendered, open in Soundforge again, then given one last tweak with EQ. Each channel was normalized independantly, and fades and tracksplits were all applied in Soundforge 8.0. Conversion: Trader's Little Helper v.2.5.0 (Build 164) MISC NOTES: This show was at a private party hosted by the Everglades Foundation for their first annual summit in Washington DC. Blues Traveler was the only band playing and I was invited to the show by a TapersSection member named Dave who happened to have the right contacts. The show was absolutely fantastic, even in spite of the horrible, god-awful sounding room. Either way you cut it, these recordings could not stand on their own without the help of the other source, so it was very lucky that I brought an extra deck, some extra mics (Chris Church's new CA1's), and a 25' extension 3.5mm. I ran a wide split omni on the stage lip in hopes of pulling some signal out of John Popper's monitors, and that worked nicely in post to add some clarity to the open air mics, which were quite boomy. The was tons of boom and mud all over these sources, I've tried quite hard to remove what I can without jeopardizing the integrity of the overall recording, and I hope you enjoy what I came up with. I may or may not end up save the original files, only time will tell. Huge thanks to many people who made this happen. First off Dave, for thinking of me. Second for Gina, Blues Traveler's manager, who was kind enough to sneak both Nate and me into this private event. Adam, Blues Traveler's sound tech, was also very helpful, as was my aforementioned accomplice, Nate (who ran Neumann ak40 > lc3 > km100 > sd722).
