Busman BSC1-K1's (cardiod) in NOS config > Naiant Littlebox 1.5 > R-09HR at 24bit/96kHz **AND** mono SBD patch
Lineage:
SBD source's left-only source was copied into right channel to produce faux-stereo. Two sources EQ'ed independently and mixed in Sony Vegas Pro 10.0, rendered as 24bit/96kHz .wav. That wav was opened in Sony Soundforge 8.0 and faded in / out, normalized, and periodic loud moments were enveloped to allow for more headroom in Normalization.

View NotesAs per the request of the sound tech, I was only able to pull a mono source from the SBD. As mentioned in the "Editing" notes above, I copied the single (left) channel into the right prior to working with the file. I was able to record this feed onto a second R-09HR borrowed from Michael (thanks!). Unfortunately, his unit ran out of juice or automatically shut off or something at about the 62minute mark, and so from about 2minutes into track 17 ("Fletcher") until about 10 minutes later and a few minutes into track 19 ("Big Black Bird"), the only source in this recording is the audience recording from my mics. In order to make the transitions a little less intrusive, I faded out / in the SBD track over the last / first ~10second of the transition away and back. Hope you enjoy the recording, and thanks to The Black Cat for helping me set up, and both Blitzen Trapper and their sound tech, Martin, for letting me record!
