Show Notes: From Billy's Facebook page: "I make no apologies for what happened last night in Adelaide. It's been quite a while since I took the stage with an electric guitar to confront an all-standing audience in a big, dark boozer. Maybe it was that fact that today is a public holiday, but that crowd responded like it was Saturday night, not Monday. They were so receptive that I played twice as many songs as I intended. My voice is hoarse and my fingers sore, but it bodes well for the back-to-basics solo shows to come in the autumn." Reivew of the show and some photos here - http://adelaidereview.com.au/arts/music/review-billy-bragg-governor-hindmarsh/ ***** I went to this show simply out of curiousity and with now previous experience of Billy Bragg other than seeing a documentary on TV a while ago. He can't sing and just manages to play guitar but I found the show enthralling and had a great time. It helps, of course, that I share his political views to a large degree but at the same time he was hugely entertaining. I stole the set list from Eckythump's upload and the only difference in editing is that I eliminated the encore applause break as you simply don't need a few minutes of boring audience noise to enjoy the recording. I think you'll find the sound pretty damn good and an honest reflection of a great night at The Gov. Enjoy!!
