View NotesTHE SHOW and RECORDING .. it was an open air show...and a stormy day (!) As gudi pointed out the world is but a small place and thus some Germans travelling in the USA met at this gig...one even had the foresight to run an audience recording.. so do do not be surprised if you can detect german words between the songs .The taper and his friends couldn't restrain from talking ! With the help of the sbd recorded by the band's soundman ( thanks joshuacain) this talk is minor and so are the distortions caused by the stormy weather the setlist boasts a rare cover version of Storm Window ( appropiate due to weather conditions) and a guest spot for The Trishas ( who opened the show... and No ---> i do not have a recording of their set) on "ain't no more cane" furthermore i was encouraged by joshuacain to go ahead and matrix the 2 sources and i hope he will ( as should andreas --taper of the audience version) enjoy this version personally i feel that this matrix reveals that matrix recordings are the way to go ! none of the two separate sources sounded this good... and this was by no means recorded by the two independant tapers with the intention to end up as matrix-recording. ... and yes there are better matrixed captures qualitywise out there.. but this here is another one of the good ones the audience recording was stopped right around the cd-flip ( thus provided a good spot to split cds) misses the introduction ( cd1 tr1) and a few words before the trishas enter the stage before the encore.. therefore this runs a few minutes longer ( and those portions are from the sbd recording only) ------------------------------------------------------------- pictures of this show http://picasaweb.google.com/BoHpics/BandOfHeathensHeritagePlaceAmphitheater
