*with special guest Bob Chew on lap steel Show Notes: It was nice to be back to Champs for our final Champs show. I think weve outgrown what was once our home-base. The stage was arranged hauntingly beautiful, complete with spider webs and disco ball pumpkins. Frackensnoobingleub. Bob Steel is a veteran lap steel player who continues to push the genre possibilities of his instrument. He has eagerly digested Space Funk, and is always ready for one more. Thanks to everyone who dressed up for the show: Big Willie Style, the Sopranos, the fox, the giant sperm guys, the bicycle repairman. In fact, thanks to everyone except for the annoying woman and her daughter, who were not enjoying the music, complaining about originals, and demanding we hurry up and pick her daughter as the costume contest winner. She can bite my shiny metal asterisk. Lastly, it was an honor to be able to cover the Pink Floyd songs. The mix levels come together in the first few minutes of the show.
