View Notes* Really if you are going to pull off a recording with 2 mics in this room, omni caps somewhere right in the middle of the room would be the way to go.  That's not really feasible though as you would be blocking the doorway though and as I don't have omnis by the end I had a somewhat bizarre microphone configuration that defies definition in any standard terms.  the reason being is the PA in a small room like this is mostly vocals and kick drum and it was actually on the back wall of the venue opposite the band.  Thus to capture more of those each mic was tilted slightly.  the left one about 10° up and the right one about 10° down (which also helped to get more of Corey's bass in the mix)
