Energetic set from the Clumsy Lovers, as usual. Here's what the band's website road diary had to say: "Tuesday, March 18 -- Beachland Ballroom, Cleveland, OH -- Real nice to be playing the same town two nights in a row, we were in dire need of the rest! We're only a couple blocks from the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. Can actually see it from our 20th floor hotel window (along with a great view of Lake Erie -- it is Erie, right?) So Trevor walked down to the Hall, but it cost $18 to get in so he passed. He did get to see that car from the ZZ Top 80's videos. Ultimately we didn't get up to too much of anything at all, past just a little walking about." "Show was pretty good. About 30 people, not an earth-shaking number to be sure, but not bad for Tuesday, day after St. Patty's, in a new town for us. And the folks that were there definitely felt the love. Or we felt the love. We had a good time, an inordinate amount of inside joke type behavior. We did a brief attempted run through the Asylum Street Spankers tune "Scrotum". Also tonight Trevor (perhaps inspired by jamming with Tony Furtado the other night) pulled out the slide for the first time and plowed through a brief solo. World premiere! And Andrea did her first ever performance of the pretending to walk down stairs trick. There was a half-wall behind the stage and a pathway that run along it, and Andrea walked the length of it, making herself shorter as she did. Surely you've seen this trick before! But never at a Clumsy Lovers show. World premiere number two! Thank you and good night."
