View Notes* Sara Quin solo. + Tegan Quin solo. This tour is going to be like nothing we have ever done. We'll be solo (can we still call it "solo" if there are two of us?). We’ll be playing acoustic (mostly). We’ll be reading from our memoir "High School", and performing songs from the new album "Hey, I’m Just Like You". And we’ll be playing a collection of songs from our older records (don’t worry!). We've pulled our favorite moments from all the old video footage from our teenage years we discovered last year, and we will be screening clips throughout the evening. We have so much in store for you. It's going to be a super special evening that you don’t want to miss. We've been away from you all for nearly two years and can’t wait to see you. - T&S, July, 2019. This was a very unique show as half of it was banter and reading excerpts from their new book and the other half were stripped down solo performances. I thought about just cutting out the talking and uploading the music, but that wouldnt be a proper T&S concert without the banter! So, I kept it all in. All of it. Even the video clips - which you cant see. Still, hearing them is still super fun. It was super quiet in the Lincoln and the only speakers pumping out any sound were hanging from the ceiling above my head. I pointed the AT853U's up and hoped for the best. Thankfully, everyone remained quiet (well, except for the lady behind me). You'll hear T&S call her out! It turned out pretty great. It was also a great surprise getting to see both Tegan and Sara tackle a song by themselves. "I Was A Fool" was easily one of the highlights of the show. Hopefully next year we get a full band HIJLY tour and they come back to Ohio. Enjoy!
