It's Phish Bowl V! Jedtainment's Fifth Annual celebration of Phish and Football at Darkstar in Secondlife. As always the annual festivities include two sets of live Phish tunes performed by Jammin Jed Luckless, along with a halftime show featuring the presentation of the Phish Bowl Trophy for best Phish show of the previous year. This year's contest kicks off traditionally with the singing of the National Anthem, and the setlist box pool gets started with the opener "Gotta Jiboo." Jed provides "score" updates throughout the show, congratulating the winners of the setlist pool as he goes. First set features a nice "Ocelot" jam, a rocking "Maze," and a deep, dark "Seven Below." A bouncy "Kill Devil Falls," the mellow "All Of These Dreams," and the traditional Bob Marley tribute, this year "Trenchtown Rock," round out the set. "Tube" wraps it up deciding another winner in the pool. The halftime show this year highlights vintage Super Bowl commercials from Pepsi and Michale Jackson to the Bud-weis-er toads. The Phish Bowl Trophy for best Phish show of 2013 was presented to the October 29, 2013 show in Reading, PA. Second set kicks off with "Get Back On The Train," with a nice long jam that finds it's way into "Horse," paired with "Sparkle" (instead of Silent). A tasty "Twist" and a twisty "Taste" are paired with the James Gang classic "Walk Away" to round out the set, with an awesome "Harry Hood" to close out the festivities and decide the Phish Bowl pool champ. Another phantastic Phish Bowl celebration and an annual tradition worth looking forward to! note: The encore recordings were lost, but the encore performed was "Sleeping Monkey" and "First Tube."
