Master recording: Neumann TLM-170s (cardoid) -> Sonosax SX-M1 -> Teac DA-P20 (@ 16/48) DAT playback: Sony R-500 -> Sound Devices 722 digital input (@24/48) Mastered: Soundforge Pro 10.0c - *All file manipulation in Soundforge done at 24 bits*. Sample rate conversion 48khz to 44.1khz using iZotope 64-Bit SRC set higher than "Highest Quality" setting w/anti-alias filter. 24 bit file then processed with SOX 14.3.2 (as recommended, keeping the file at 24 bits during the processing) to remove pre-emphasis which was applied by the Teac A>D converter. Then back to Soundforge for volume normalization and dithering to 16 bits using using iZotope MBIT+ with Ultra noise shaping, with high dither settings. Tracked in CDWav.

A really lighthearted moe. trio side project (just Chuck, Rob and Jim) where the band takes on personas and wears Mexican leather wrestling masks, this performance took place well after midnight, after the first night of the Hammerstein Ballroom 2001 Thanksgiving run. It's hard to believe that nearly 10 years have passed since this show. I believe that this my have been my first time at the then-new BB King's Times Square location, which is located just 8 blocks from Hammerstein Ballroom. If I recall correctly, this being a late night show, there were a LOT of drunk and sloppy people at this show, making it a lot of work for me to keep people from knocking my mic stand over. In this history of moe. this totally fun side project has only gotten together for a few handfulls worth of performances, so anything that hasn't been heard before from this band is significant. This is great sounding document of a totally fun (though relatively short) performance. Enjoy!
