View Notes"Edith's Daughter" Howe Gelb (vocals, guitar, piano) Anders Pedersen (guitar) Thøger Lund (bass) Peter Dombernowsky (drums) with Lonna Kelly (vocals) and Chuck Prophet (guitar, vocals) Taping & Mastering, Pics & Artwork: Niko Springstein This recording is - like all my recordings - dedicated to Mic Christopher (he still travels with us) and - since a very cold, very wet, very drunken, very irish october nite - to Anna (love me tonite for I may never see you again...)! Thanks again for 111 hours of laughing, travelling, keeping me warm (where is my third blanket?), drinking, singing old grönemeyer songs, driving, watching, playing with fire, sleeping... Keep on shopping! Even in Paris the cherry trees are... Please DO distribute via bittorrent or usenet! Please do NOT convert into mp3 or other lossy formats. Please do NOT sell this recording. Trade freely! Please DO pass along the source info (this file) and artwork if you trade this show. files renamed and posted to archive.org by morst 2018 November Ok... Hi again folks. I have been listening to quite a bit of GS/HG lately and I had this stashed away in my archive and thought that I might as well shared this version I have made here at [xxxx] again. This is a band/group/collective or solo musical expressions of one Howe Gelb and his co-conspirators through the years. Captured here with a soundboard recording, these guys (and gal) give one of their always entertaining performances. By the way, did I mention that for the most part the whole cast (Lonna isn't and you will hear why) here are pretty drunk by the time this show gets started. But don't worry - they manage to pull it off quite nicely, and you even get a couple of nice rarities here on this recording. And Lonna Kelley and Chuck Prophet making fine contributions that really stand out. Big thanks always to Niko (one of my all-time favorite uploaders here at Dime) for all the great things that he shares with all of us. BTW, if you do happen to have this Giant Sand RoIO already, you need to replace it with this version as this has text and artwork corrections made along with extra items, full tagging and more that was not in previous versions. So... maybe many of you will know what you get here and probably many more wil have no idea at all, but is that the wonderful thing about music - always something new to be discovered. At least that has always been to case for me. It just seems inconceivable to only like and listen to a small niche of music and not even looking beyond that limited horizon - and then discovering the huge world of differing music to be explored. Check the world of Howe Gelb out, it is definitely a unique one. Enjoy...
