View Notes(Missing First Seven Minutes Of Show Because Soundboard Output Was Not Turned On And Soundman Was Busy) Lech Wierzynski - Trumpet, Lead Guitar, Vocals Johnny Bones - Saxophone, Cowbell Doug Stuart - Bass Guitar Charles Hickox - Keyboards Ben Malament - Drums, Cowbell The Northstar Session Opened Memorial Day Free Concert Celebration OldNeumanntapr Notes- This was a free Memorial Day concert at the Cliffs in Pismo Beach, outdoors on a bluff right next to the ocean. My friend Abe was celebrating a birthday there with a ‘silly hat’ party. (Photos included, shot by the taper with a Nikon D300 with 80-200 f/2.8 AF Nikkor and a 20 mm f/2.8 AF Nikkor. Included with the band are shots of Abe with his silly ‘fish head’ hat, as well as the taper’s wife [dressed in silly hat] with her dachshund Chloe. Even the taper got into the act, dressed in full tie die and holding Chloe.) Abe knew Lech, one of the band members, and asked him if I could plug into the board and he said no worries. As mentioned previously, the output that I plugged into was turned off, I didn’t know the board or its controls, and the sound man (Kip Stork from SLO Brew) was busy and it took seven minutes to get his attention and for him to find the level pot to turn on the output. The band marched through the crowd during one song while continuing to play. Thanks so much to the band for allowing me to record through the board! Do NOT Convert To MP3. Enjoy!
